Use the OneSearch Manoa to search for books and other materials in the UH System libraries. For a collection of e-books that you can access online, use ebrary. You can find books in other libraries around the world, by searching WorldCat (obtain books from other libraries through Hamilton Library's Interlibrary Loan service; see box to the right).

Inter Library Loan

We don't have the book you need? Try requesting it through one of our Inter Library Loan services.

Inter Library Loan (ILL) The Interlibrary Loan Unit (ILL) obtains books, journal articles, and other materials for UH Manoa students, faculty, staff, and affiliates when the materials are NOT available in the UH Manoa Libraries.
College Research Libraries Consortium (CRL) The CRL consortium allows UH-Manoa students, faculty, staff and affiliates free access to a variety of services, including free inter-library loan (via second day UPS airmail) to more than 5 million items held by the Ohio-based CRL library, including many of potential use to scholars of Hawai'i and the Pacific. Follow this link to search for and request material directly from the CRL catalog.
WorldCat (via OCLC FirstSearch) WorldCat is the online catalog for a few thousand (more or less) libraries that are members of OCLC. If you have a citation to something and the library doesn't have it, search for it in WorldCat. Once you've found the item, the record will have a "request via ILL" link. Click on that and follow the instructions for requesting.
