While much of the material in  ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi comes from published materials such as newspapers, books, or music there is a wealth of information held in various archives and repositories in Hawaiʻi. Much work still needs to be done looking at correspondences, official and private; journals, maps, ethnographic data, and other documents. This section of the guide provides information about the different archives and repositories which hold materials in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.
