New Acquisition: Bingata! Only in Okinawa from Okinawa Prefectural Government

The Okinawa Collection received 2 copies (1 hardcover & 1 softcover) of Bingata! : Only in Okinawa from Okinawa Prefectural Government.

This is an exhibit catalog, and the exhibit was held at the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 2016.

The Library has several resources related to bingata (traditional Okinawan dyeing).

The University of the Rryukyus Library's Okinawa Collection issues a monthly column titled Kijimun's Monologue (English version and Japnaese version). December 2017 issue is about Bingata. The column will become available online in January 20108.
