Sinclair Library needs friendly, fun, service oriented people to join its team. We rely on our student employees to provide day-to-day library services as well as the behind the scenes work that keeps the library running smoothly. We have a wide range of positions open, from computer work to helping patrons to making podcasts and tutorials to preservation to updating the website, and even checking out books, and we need a diversified team to fill those positions. General circulation (check-out, check-in reserves, recalls, holds, and renewals). Maintain library stacks. Assist patrons in locating library materials; using library system (CARL) and using other equipment, referring patrons to librarians/staff when necessary. Assist in opening the library when scheduled to work in mornings and/or securing the library in evenings and/or weekends. Report regularly on work done via e-mail and by attending weekly meetings. Link barcodes in library materials to bibliographic computer records. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Perform the duties of Student Asst I. Do word processing/typing & filing. Perform specialized assignment(s) under general supervision of staff. Assist business counter supervisor. Process reserve materials. Maintain, troubleshoot, update computers & web pages. Maintain stacks (shelving, shelf-reading, shifting). Assist in student personnel records, payroll & scheduling.

3. Print the job application, a copy of your resume (optional), and your current class schedule and submit all three to any Sinclair library employee. Application, resume, and schedule may also be submitted in PDF format to email@example.com.
