Technology in Sinclair Library

Computers 
Information Technology Services (ITS) maintains a computer lab on the first floor of Sinclair Library. The computers have Microsoft Office software and Internet access. Login with a UH username and password is required.  There are also PC workstations with internet access on the first and third floors that require login with a UH username and password.  Printing is available from all library computers.
 

Wireless
University of Hawaii students, faculty, and staff who bring their own laptop equipped with a wireless card may access the campus network from many areas within the Library. For non-affiliated researchers and those from foreign academic institutions, no documentation is needed to use the resources in the Library. UHM wireless is accessible via “Eduroam.”

Wireless Printing
Print from your laptop to either the 1st floor or 3rd floor GoPrint station. Connect your laptop to the UHM wireless network by opening a browser and entering your UH username and password.  Go to wireless printing, log in, upload the file to print, and choose a printer.

Printing
Pay printing is available from all library computers. Printouts must be paid for by using a UH Manoa OneCard  or Guest Card.

Copying
All copiers are cash only ($.10 a copy) and print only in black and white.  They are located on the first floor lobby and on the third floor.

Scanning 
Scanners are available in the computer lab on the first floor of Sinclair Library and on the third floor in the Wong Audiovisual Center.

Policy
Library computers and related equipment are to be used only to access information resources for educational, instructional, and research needs related to the mission and activities of the University of Hawaii.
