Course Reserves during the COVID 19 times

by Tokiko Y. Bazzellバゼル山本登紀子 Librarian V on 2020-04-10T14:48:59-10:00 | 0 Comments

Course Reserves are here in the Library to help faculty and their students for the rest of the Spring 2020 and Summer 2020 terms.

Print Reserve - No access to print reserve materials - I will check all available databases to find an electronic version. If I cannot then I will scan pages and chapters and try to stay within copyright laws.  One chapter or 10% of a book, whichever is greater.  For Spring and Summer I may go beyond that, but will not scan the whole book.

If faculty members absolutely need the whole book I will direct them to the Subject Librarians for assistance to help find an alternate eBook title or to purchase an electronic version.  I only purchase physical books.

Please forward print reserve questions to me at carlah [at] hawaii.edu

Media Reserve - No access to media reserve materials - Lois will search our media databases for a streaming version.  If it is not available, she may purchase a streaming license and may consult with the Subject Librarians or work with Jim Hearon and his students to digitize items in the AV collection if within copyright laws.

Please forward media reserve questions Lois Tom at loist [at] hawaii.edu.
