The mission of this resource center is to support the Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge (HSHK) and its students, staff, and faculty. With the limited space and resources, access to this facility is for UH students, staff and faculty with priority of access and use being given to HSHK individuals. Laka me Lono is a specialized library and is limited in scope and resources focused on specialized resources and research. It is not a general library. We are open to the public for research purposes, only following a consultation via email with the Librarian to determine the viability of completing projects at Laka me Lono and to review our rules and procedures. Loitering, interrupting students or staff members, or use of Laka me Lono for purposes unrelated to conducting research is not permitted. Any person who interferes with our educational mission or disregards these use policies will be asked to leave.
Mahalo for your understanding and cooperation!
