Setting up a MyCABDirect account is free.
If you set up a personal MyCABDirect account, you can personalise the site and make use of some additional, useful features of CAB Direct.
A personal MyCABDirect account allows you to permanently save searches, bookmark interesting records and set up auto-email alerts. RSS feeds do not work with the UH proxy server.
To create a free, MyCABDirect account, simply click the Create a free account tab.
After you have filled in the details on the registration screen, click the Register button to create your account.
Each time you use CAB Direct, you can Log in to your MyCABDirect account, by clicking the MyCABDirect link and entering your personal username and password.
This tutorial shows you how to set up and use the MyCABDirect feature.

To create an Alert you first need to set up your free MyCABIaccount.
When you are in a CAB Direct search session, you can login to your MyCABI at any time, by clicking on MyCABI and logging in.
You will then be taken to your MyCABI account where you will see your current Search History and any Saved Searches and BookMarked records from your previous search sessions.
If you want to permanently save one or more of the searches in your current Search History, simply click on the search and Saved Searches. The search will then be permanently saved under the “Saved Searches” heading.
Click on the envelope and your search will be saved as an auto-email Alert. The Alerts option will automatically send the latest records to your e-mail address on a weekly basis.
In the email, the records are provided as citations with links back to CAB Direct so that you can see the full records with Abstracts.
