Contact a Federal Court

The Federal Judiciary is made up of the Supreme Court of the United States, U.S. Courts of Appeals, bankruptcy courts, and U.S. District Courts. The Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO), established in 1939, provides administrative support for the federal judiciary.

The Government Documents Collection contains a number of publications by and about the federal judiciary. Here is a sample:

Federal Judicial Center Publications (GOVD JU 13.) Books about procedures, operations, statistics, and other aspects of the federal courts. Titles may be available online, at the Law Library or in Gov Docs.
