This tutorial will show you how to access translations and transcriptions of the registers and testimonies of LCA records in Waihona.
If a UHM patron is doing Mahele-related research for a class research assignment or a thesis and needs access to Waihona records, UHM's Hawaiian Collection may purchase up to 5 documents per research assignment or thesis. UHM patrons must first consult with one of the Hawaiian Collection librarians on the Māhele documents needed. Please send inquires to hawnpac@hawaii.edu. All other patrons must purchase the documents directly through Waihona Aina.
1. Go to waihona.com
2. Click the "Mahele Records" tab
3. Type in the LCA
4. Add LCA to cart or preview it
5a. UHM patrons - Save the screen as a PDF and email hawnpac@hawaii.edu your need
5b. Non-UHM patrons - Purchase the item(s) directly through Waihona
