This guide lists basic resources to research botanical topics. The UH Manoa Library has many more books and journals that you may need in your research (see Hawaii Voyager Library Catalog) and can also serve as a springboard to the collections of great libraries around the world. See specific Botany course guides as well, such as Botany 101

  • E-journals
    Find e-journals UHM has access to.
  • Group Study Rooms
    Group study rooms located on the second floor of Hamilton Library and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Check out a study room key at the Circulation Desk with your valid UH Manoa ID card.
  • Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services
    Free service for obtaining articles and books from other libraries
  • Library Hours
    Lists hours for individual departments in Hamilton and Sinclair Libraries
  • Library ID Registration
    Your UH ID is also your library card but you need to register it with the UH Library. This can be done online or in person at a circulation desk.
  • MAGIS: Maps, Aerials and GIS
    Information on the Library's GIS lab and more
  • OneSearch Manoa
    Comprehensive search over e-journals, e-books, Voyager catalog records, and ScholarSpace repository items.
  • Presentation Practice Rooms
    Two presentation practice rooms (UHM students only) are located next to the Sci/Tech Reference Desk. Equipped with projector, computer, and white board.
  • Science & Technology Databases
    Browse a list of databases for finding articles and other research literature; covers all science subject areas
