A year-long subscription to the New York Times is available to all current faculty, staff, and students at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa.

Search back to see how events were talked about (as far back as the 1850s).

Signing Up

Step 1: Sign in to The New York Times subscription page (this link will open in a new window)

Step 2: Click on the "Create Account" Button

Step 3: DO NOT enter your email on this page.  INSTEAD, click on the "Continue with Google" link.

Step 4: Enter your UH Username and create a password for your New York Times account.

Make sure to also indicate what type of user you are and an alternate email address.

Step 4: After finishing the form, click the "Submit" button. 

Step 5: Check your UH email for an activation link from The New York Times. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder.

Your one-year subscription will then begin.

You must renew your personal subscription every year (beginning on the day you created your account) by clicking on the same link we use to start a subscription and then responding to the activation email you receive from The New York Times
