We have implemented BorrowItNow program as a 3-year pilot. This is a discovery-to-delivery tool. This means that you can discover new research material by using a keyword or subject search. Of course, you can always locate known items by doing a title, author, or ISBN search. After discovering useful items, you can quickly see the availability and request them directly from the lending library.
UH-Manoa belongs to a consortium of libraries called GWLA (Greater Western Library Alliance). There are 33 research libraries in this group. 31 of these libraries have agreed to implement the BorrowItNow program as a 3-year pilot. Among the available discovery-to-delivery systems available, GWLA chose BorrowItNow because it is the most cost-effective.
This is a list of the GWLA universities. You can use BorrowItNow to directly request an item from their libraries.
