How to Register for the All of Us Research Program

How do I register to access the All of Us Researcher Workbench?

There are four steps to register.

1. Confirm Your Institution's Agreement

The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is a registered institution that has secured registered and controlled tier access. This step is done for UHM students and faculty.

2. Create an Account and Verify Identity

Create a Researcher Workbench account at this link. Note: Researcher Workbench functions best using Google Chrome version 67 or greater.

You will be asked to verify your identity using Login.gov. Follow this tutorial to set up your Login.gov profile and verify your identity. If you experience technical issues or cannot sign up for a Login.gov account for any reason, please fill out a Login.gov Assistance Form and email the Help Desk team at support@researchallofus.org.

3. Complete the Mandatory Training

Part of the registration process for the All of Us Researcher Workbench is completing mandatory training on responsible conduct of research. This training takes 45-60 minutes. In order to access the Controlled Tier dataset, additional training is required. More information on the Responsible Conduct of Research Training can be found here.

4. Sign the Data User Code of Conduct (DUCC)

The DUCC outlines the expectations of All of Us for researchers who use the Researcher Workbench and describes how data is to be used. The DUCC can be viewed here.
