Here are six suggestions on how to get started on your research:

• • Contact Your Subject Librarian
    Make an appointment with one of the library's subject specialists to get suggestions on where and what to search to find useful materials on your research topic.

• • Get to Know Your Resources
    The University of Hawaii at Manoa libraries supply a wide network of physical and electronic material to aid your research.  In addition to over 3 million books, we have an extensive collection of databases for finding articles, subject guides,  e-journals, e-books, research tools and more.  Can't find it here? We can get the material you need through our Interlibrary Loan Services.
     
  • Brush Up on Your Library Search Skills
    Watch these tutorials to learn about the many functions of the UH Library Voyager Catalog!

• • Use a Bibliographic Management Program to Stay Organized

• • Find Relevant Research on Your Topic
    Conduct a Cited Reference Search in Web of Science
    Look through Dissertations & Theses & ScholarSpace to see what other people in your subject field have written about.

• • Keep Updated
