Welcome OCN 320!
Warm-up activity: Listed below are links to 4 sources found on the free Web that discuss ocean acidification. Working in teams, organize these sources into groups by whatever categories make sense to you. After, we will have a class discussion about how you decided to categorize these items. Things to think about while you organize and categorize:
- How much RESEARCH do you think was involved in writing each piece? Who is the AUTHOR?
- What is the source TYPE? Who is the intended AUDIENCE of each source? What is the PURPOSE of each?
- Does the piece REFERENCE original research, and if so how easy does the author make it for you to find the primary source?
