The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) is a nonpartisan legislative branch agency that prepares budget forecasts and analyses of pending legislation for the use of Congress. It was established in 1975.

The presentation will also discuss the services and products CBO provides to the Congress, CBO’s communications, and the new approaches the agency developed for assisting the Congress as it confronted the consequences of the pandemic.
