These research guides contain information on three topics on genocide and modern slavery in Russia: The 1932-1933 Ukrainian Famine: Stalin's Genocide; The Soviet Gulag: Genocide? Democide? Slavery?; and Chechnya: Putin's War Against Muslims.  An information guide on the Russian invasion of Ukraine has also been added.  Each of these topics has a tremendous amount of literature in both Russian and English.  These research guides provide a short introduction to these topics.  Please contact Patricia Polansky at polansky@hawaii.edu for further information.
