This guide is designed to help students, faculty, and staff at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa find information resources for course work, teaching, and research related to Astronomy & Astrophysics. Click on the Tabs to find books, journal articles, etc.
This guide focuses on library and Web-available resources, many of which are RESTRICTED to access by UH Mānoa students, faculty and staff. UH ITS Web Login Service is used to provide access outside of the Library to authorized users.

Institute for Astronomy (IfA)
A research institute within the University of Hawai‘i, the IfA is "one of the world's leading astronomical research centers. Its broad-based program includes studies of the Sun, planets, and stars, as well as interstellar matter, galaxies, and cosmology."
The Institute for Astronomy Library contains a wealth of resources for Astronomy research.
UH NASA Astrobiology Institute (UHNAI)
UHNAI conducts multi-disciplinary research into the presence and role of water in planetary systems and their implications for the potential discovery of extraterrestial organisms.
Hawai‘i Space Grant Consortium
The Hawai‘i Space Grant Consortium develops and runs interdisciplinary education, research, and public service programs related to space science, earth science, remote sensing, human exploration and development of space, small satellites, and aerospace technology.

Group study rooms (located on the second floor of Hamilton Library) and presentation practice rooms (located next to the Sci/Tech Reference Desk in Hamilton) are available on a reservation basis only. Go to the Circulation Desk with your valid UH Mānoa ID card to get access to your reserved room.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Services
ILL obtains books, journal articles, and other materials for UH Mānoa students, faculty, staff, and affiliates when the materials are NOT available in the UH Mānoa Libraries.
Library ID Registration
Your UH ID is also your library card but you need to register it with the UH Library. This can be done online or in person at a circulation desk.
