The Office of Justice Programs (OJP) encompasses several bureaus, including:

Bureau of Justice Assistance web site
BJA provides training and technical assistance funding to law enforcement agencies.
Bureau of Justice Statistics website
BJS compiles statistics about crime, victims, characteristics of prisoners, incarceration, courts, sentencing, and many other areas.
Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention
OJJDP compiles statistics and maintains programs related to juvenile offenders and juvenile victims.
National Institute of Justice web site
NIJ provides funding and training for research investigations related to crime and victimization.

Correctional populations in the United States
"Presents statistics on persons supervised by adult correctional systems in the United States at yearend 2014, including offenders supervised in the community on probation or parole and those incarcerated in state or federal prison or local jail." Statistics for the entire U.S. and states.
Federal Justice Statistics Program
"Provides annual data on workload, activities, and outcomes associated with federal criminal cases."
Criminal victimization
Based on survey data, this bulletin "presents estimates of rates and levels of criminal victimization in the United States ... includes violent victimization (rape or sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault) and property victimization (burglary, motor vehicle theft, and property theft)."
Sourcebook of criminal justice statistics
Statistics covering 1973-2002; older editions are available in print or on CD-ROM.
Historical corrections statistics in the United States

We have a number of congressional hearings, reports, and documents concerning these programs and agencies. You can search for these in ProQuest Congressional (UHM login required) and U.S. Congressional Serial Set (UHM login required). We also have general publications, handbooks, manuals, pamphlets, reports, and older statistical publications.

Maui County Document Center
The Document Center contains Maui Police Department annual reports, which include statistics about crimes and arrests.
Hawai‘i Department of Public Safety
The DPS provides limited statistics about correctional populations and conditions in Hawai‘i and Hawai‘i prisoners in the continental U.S.
