Biography

Hawai'i State Archives Holdings

John Burns's gubernatorial papers are held by the Hawaiʻi State Archives. His Congressional papers are part of his manuscript collection (M-481), also at the Hawai‘i State Archives. Both collections are open for research, and finding aids are available upon request (email archives@hawaii.gov).

Papers less than 80 years old may need to be screened, so the materials may not be viewable on same day the researcher requests those items.
