The first seminar on February 22, 2016, will cover the history of Japanese printing and books with respect to various methods of book binding. The intended audience for this session are Japanese studies students, librarians working with Japanese prints, and Japanese studies teaching faculty. The second seminar on February 24 will be a hands-on discussion of the relationship between print and book materials and how contents have developed over time. The second session is targeted to those seeking advanced knowledge on Japanese prints and books. Both sessions will be conducted in Japanese.
