Trial access to Taiyo (The Sun) 太陽 Full-text Database via Japan Knowledge

Via the Japan Knowledge database (http://micro189.lib3.hawaii.edu/ezproxy/details.php?dbId=49904), you can use the Taiyo full-text database from April 15 through May 14, 2019. See the information below about Taiyo (The Sun). Please provide your feedback to Tokiko Bazzell, Japan Studies Librarian.

Taiyo 太陽 was a comprehensive magazine published by Hakubunkan 博文館 from January 1895 to February 1928, for a total of 34 volumes containing 531 issues of approximately 175,000 printed pages. It not only offered political, military, economic and social commentary but included articles on the natural sciences, literary works and cultural trends and more, written by about 6,500 authors. Taiyo is considered indispensable for the study of Japan’s modern period. Try yourself during the UHM trial period and please let Tokiko Bazzell (Japan Studies Library) know what you think about the database.
